1975 Drivers From the Speedway Pictorial 1975 magazine

Dean Hogarth No 9 Speedcars
Dean's racing career commenced at the age of 16 on a Norton in scrambles and trials. He then became a sidecar passenger for Laurie Wilson and then with Gordon Benny won the SA Championship. Dean then drove a Ford V8 stock at Skyline and in 1957 he switched to Speedcars. He won the Alf Beasley Memorial at Maribynong and the first of two Harry Neale victories in 1960. Dean known and "Mr. Consistency"


Bill Wigzell No 88 Sprintcar

The SA Sprintcar Superstar who won four Australia Sprintcar Championships including three successive Craven Filter Titles. His career began on solo's and he in fact represented SA in Perth in 1951. He then switched to Midgets and drove modifieds as well. He was the 1974 No 1 Title-holder and SA Champion. He ran with a fully imported Sprincar which he won the first Sprintcar race in a new track record time. Bill was a sales manager for South Rd marine


Zeke Agars No 3 Sprintcar

Zeke commenced racing in 64/65 season at Roelry park in a modified he and Ron Quigley had purcheased from Ray Skipper . Zeke started in and won the Stars Scratch at his first meeting following an impressive practice. Zeke built a number of cars and was instrumental in the formation of a Super Modified section. In 1971 he was second in the Craven Title at Brisbane. In 1975 he was drving a Turbo charged 6 cylinder Holden but didn't win a feature race that season.


Johnny Moyle No 69 Sprintcar

John began in the Stockcar section on 1953 in a 34 Ford Coupe. In 1969 he drove one of SA's first Sportsman's and has stayed in the section ever since (1975). In 1972 he won the Asutralian championship and the RDA top point score award. In 1975 he drove his own built Neville Nitschke, Shell and Scouthcott sponsored Sprintcar. John is married with 2 children and works at Southcotts
