Some example modern day replica and restored Classic Super Modifieds

Below is a rare recording of the 1972 Australian Super Modified Championship. This is a famous race for Bill Wigzell igniting the right rear tyre into a ball of fire many times from friction. The winner after crossing the line crashes into the fence. Phil Herreen comes 2nd after blowing a tyre in the last few laps. So sit back and listen to the excited commentator.

Well worth the download time!
